Magic Mayan Chocolate started out in the Burren in Co. Clare back in 2012 by a small artisan producer. The Chocolate was RAW and beautiful. But in March 2015, the chocolate disappeared from the shelves as the producer stopped producing. There was a local outcry. Being one of the outcryers and trying to hunt down any last remaining bars, I felt obliged to rescue the chocolate.
In July 2015, I took over the business (much to my wife's delight) and the chocolate hit the shelves once again. We have grown to stocking 92 stores, including 12 SuperValu's. There is an increasing demand nationally and internationally for our RAW chocolate as we watch our online sales grow and receive multiple requests from exporters to list the chocolate. We are now a team of 3 and hope to continue the exponential growth.
