The concept for Howth Cuisine began in 2008 whilst chef Nicole Dunne was running her own successful restaurant business, in the picturesque fishing village of Howth in North County Dublin. A local fish monger approached Nicole to create her delicious fish dishes for his shop and so Howth Cuisine began.
Howth is well known for its many restaurants and it's beautiful fishing port. Nicole, a qualified chef, began working in the hospitality industry at a very young age and has 23 years experience. Due to the down-turn in 2010, her restaurant business came to an end. Nicole strived in the following years to build Howth Cuisine and launched the company in 2012. The company is now based in Baldoyle Industrial estate, Dublin 13 and has a staff of six in total. Mum of two Nicole is passionate about her company and loves everything about the Sea and Seafood. Howth Cuisine believe in using sustainably caught fish, 100% locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives or additives. Recently signing up for Origin Green, the Environment and Sustainability is a huge factor in the company's future.
Having completed the Food Academy course with SuperValu, BordBia & the local enterprise board, Howth Cuisine launched into SuperValu in March 2015. The Food Academy course taught us everything we needed to know about supplying into a larger chain of supermarkets.
Howth Cuisine now supplies into 70 outlets throughout Dublin, Kildare & Meath and is constantly expanding, including exports to Milan. SuperValu has been a huge support to the company's growth & has really helped us grow our brand. Since March of 2015, supplying SuperValu has helped create a further 3 full time jobs in the company. SuperValu really focus on supporting local Irish suppliers using the best quality ingredients and when you buy a Food Academy product you are supporting families in your local community.
Howth Cuisine's delicious range include Prawn Stir-fry with noodles, fishcakes, crab-cakes, fish-pies, chowder, sauces & pâtés - find us in a SuperValu near you.
