Our family has always been involved in the food industry. Owen has been a Chef for over 30 years and both of our sons later became Chefs. We have been catering for elite athletes, such as GAA and Rugby teams, for a number of years and it is through this work that we became aware of a gap in the market for a fresh, chilled, healthy sauce which would allow people to cook a healthy meal quickly without compromising on taste.
As a participant in the food academy, we have being able to develop our business to a standard which allows us to become a supplier of Supervalu. This programme helped us design a growth strategy to take our new business to the next level. FeedThePulse started trading in March 2016 and we have 5 people employed, both our sons were working away from home and this gave them the opportunity to return to Galway.
We are delighted to be involved in the food academy programme and are confident our business will continue to grow because of it.
