Meatballs recipe


Siobhan Berry of shares her recipe for Mummy Cooks Meatballs.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes


Serves: 4 people

  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 - Eggs
  • 0.5 tbsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 - Onion
    finely chopped
  • 0.5 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 - Red Pepper
    finely chopped
  • 500 g SuperValu Irish Beef Mince
  • 0.5 tbsp SuperValu Oregano


  1. In a large bowl combine the pepper, onion and spices, add in the mince and the egg and mix thoroughly.
  2. With your hands roll the mixture into meatballs.
    Heat a large pan with some olive oil, add the meat balls and allow to brown for about a minute before reducing the heat and cooking for 4 minutes.
  3. Turn up the heat, and turn over the meatballs allow to brown on the opposite side for about a minute before again turning down the heat and cooking for another 4-6 minutesĀ until cooked through.
  4. Serve and enjoy with ourĀ Hidden Veg Sauce.
