RECIPE OVERVIEW

Healthy and filling. Easy Peazy to make. Use up whatever dried fruits, nuts, seeds around the house. Perfect for kids lunch boxes. Everyone loves them.

Ingredients

Serves: 4 people

  • 150 g Butter
  • 200 g Honey
  • 275 g Porridge Oats
  • 100 g Sultanas
  • 50 g SuperValu Brown Sugar
  • 75 g SuperValu Dried Fruit
    any fruit of your choice
  • 75 g SuperValu Goodness Mixed Nuts
    chopped

Method

  1. Line 18 cm square cake tin with parchment paper.
  2. Heat oven to 180C / 350F degrees / gas mark 4.
  3. Place butter, honey & sugar either in saucepan over low heat or else microwave until butter melts.
  4. Spread mixture in cake tin and press well down.
  5. Bake for 20-25 mins until edges are golden brown.Leave to cool, turn out & cut into bars.

Keeps for 2 weeks wrapped in foil / freezes great up to 3 months.
